Group Project with Tania Jacquez and David Yang
This project explores the architectural scale as well as the streetscape and the roofscape. We have introduced the idea of modular systems that are distributed throughout the site during uncertain times in our urban design phase. And it was a challenge to really identify and design these "boxes" into real life systems. Our community center serves as storage for these modular units as well as a resource center for the public in times of need. It acts as a transformer, adjusting to the social or economic state the community is in: a storage system where units can be moved with the use of a crane during certain times and a resource center (consisting of programs such as technology hubs ,classrooms, and counseling units) during uncertain times.
