This project takes two existing buildings and combines it into one, the Design Efficiency Research Center. I chose to keep the skeletons of the two buildings and combined it into one building with an atrium in the middle. The skeletons now act as scaffoldings of greenaries in the building. It almost seems like there is a new facade in the existing facade, the new facade being the clear cut rectangular shape and the new facade being the new curved surfaces that make up different program rooms. The bottom levels consist of program rooms necessary for the research center, and the new top floors make up the residential part of the building, housing the researchers.
